David Dombrosky brings over eighteen years of experience in arts management and nonprofit technology to his work as Chief Marketing Officer for InstantEncore, the leading provider of mobile solutions to performing arts organizations around the world. As a trusted guide in the arts industry, he frequently writes and presents on the uses of technology within arts management, most recently for: Theatre Communications Group, NAPAMA, APAP, National Arts Marketing Project, Arts Midwest, and more.
Prior to joining the InstantEncore team, David established his own arts and technology consultancy and served as the Executive Director of the Center for Arts Management and Technology (CAMT), an applied research center at Carnegie Mellon University investigating ways in which technology can improve and enhance the practice of arts management. He taught courses on U.S. cultural policy and arts leadership challenges for Carnegie Mellon’s Master of Arts Management program.
Before his tenure at Carnegie Mellon, David spent eight years at the South Arts, where he designed and managed both regional and national programs in the visual, performing, media and literary arts.
David holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Speech Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
