Krista R. Bradley is Executive Director of BlackRock Center for the Arts, $1.7 million multidisciplinary nonprofit arts center in Germantown, Maryland, providing professional performing arts performances, visual arts exhibits, and arts education programs for the greater community. As Executive Director, she is responsible for developing, guiding and implementing the strategies, activities, budget and operations of BlackRock, programming the performing arts season, and overseeing the day-to-day execution of fundraising, marketing, and operations of the organization. Prior to BlackRock, Krista served for six years as Program Officer of Performing Arts and Leadership Development for Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, where she managed all regional performing arts touring and funding programs for the Foundation’s nine states and jurisdictions. She brings more than twenty-five years of experience working in the nonprofit, performing arts, and philanthropy sectors as a funder, curator, arts administrator and consultant. Over the course of her career she has worked for and with such organizations as the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, the Walker Arts Center, Washington Performing Arts, Houston Grand Opera, OPERA America and the Wallace Fund. Krista has served as a grants review panelist for the NEA, the Maryland and New York States Arts Councils, the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, globalFEST and New England Foundation for the Arts, among others. She holds a B.A. degree in Literature and Society from Brown University. In her spare time, Krista is a practicing musician and been a devoted chamber singer for most of her life. As an emerging visual artist, she’s still trying to find more time in the studio.
