Norman Easterbrook

Norman EasterbrookNorman Easterbrook was appointed executive director of RiverCenter in Columbus, Georgia in September of 2015. Prior to this he was director of the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts on the Oxford campus of the University of Mississippi since that facility opened in 2003. He was responsible for the overall programming and management to include national touring productions, classical, contemporary and pop music, dance, theater and other events. Additionally he was director of the American Music Archives funded by the Library of Congress to document and preserve American music through digitization of research collections and training of oral historians in documenting music traditions. He established the Mississippi Arts Partners program to deliver the live performing arts to areas in northwest Mississippi. In his final year with the University he was producer of the World and American Premiers of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark an opera in English which he toured to Prague after the premiere at the Ford Center. Throughout his career Norm has worked as an actor and director in film, video and live theatre. He is married to Margaret “Margo” Easterbrook and they have two daughters – Matilda and Lucile.
