Our work in the performing arts requires a careful balance between the needs of artists, institutions, the field at large and the general public. Cultural impresario Bill Bragin shares examples from his extensive collaborations with music, dance and theatre artists to help us face a future full of change. He explores how an idea can evolve and thrive in uncertain times; how creative and collaborative approaches can lead to exciting and sometime unplanned directions; how to engage audiences with new or unfamiliar artists. For more than two decades as an arts presenter, Bill Bragin has been devoted to breaking down barriers of genre, style and geographic borders, with a particular interest in hybrids and artistic cross-fertilization.
