What is the Video Showcase?

The Video Showcase is one of the opportunities that PAE provides for artists to  increase their visibility during the conference. Artist work samples are compiled onto one Video Showcase DVD and artist information is included in the accompanying Video Showcase Guide.

Visibility

• Video Showcase DVD and guide are distributed one month before the conference to all registered presenters.

• Video Showcase DVD and guide are also available at PAE registration for any presenters registered after the distribution date.
• DVD is played on a loop at conference in a prominent location (typically at the Registration area).
• Video segments are posted to the SouthArts YouTube channel for public viewing.
• Video Showcase artists will be listed in the PAE program book. 
• Each submission will recieve one complimentary Artist Pass for one showcase performer to the PAE Marketplace for a single day. Passes for additional artists or additional days may be purchased at the registration desk on site. Artist passes are good for admission to the Marketplace only and not to hospitality events like luncheons and parties. *Note: Juried Showcase events are all free and open to the public.

Each work sample will be edited by South Arts to include the following information on the final Video Showcase DVD:

Artist Name

Representation

Contact email and/or phone number

Booth Number

To be on the Video Showcase

• Submit your Video Showcase application and fee, and send your five minute artist sample on DVD to South Arts offices.
• South Arts Staff will review your work for audio and visual quality only (not adjudicated for artistic quality).
• Artist will recieve the Showcase contract which will state the showcasing terms (all Video Showcase artists must be an exhibitor in the Marketplace or be represented by an exhibitor in the Marketplace).
• The artist will return the signed contract and pay a showcasing fee at that time.
• The artist sample will then be added to the Video Showcase DVD to be distributed and played at PAE, the artist's information will be included in the guide, and the video segment will be uploaded to YouTube.
