What is an Independent Showcase?

Independent Showcases are self-produced performances that take place during the Performing Arts Exchange. Independent Showcases are a vital component to the overall conference experience because they increase attendees' ability to see live performances beyond Juried Showcasing. Independent Showcases are produced by agents, artists, and managers.

What PAE provides is a listing in the conference program book of independently produced showcases. This listing acts as an advertisement and schedule of all extra opportunities to view artist work during the conference. The price for listing your showcase is $50, and for that you get to list your artist(s), company name, booth number, details about your showcase event, and a hundred word description of your artist's performance.

Independent showcases can only be listed for times that do not conflict with scheduled conference events including the Juried Showcase performances. Independent Showcases can be listed for Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday night of the conference and should begin at 9 pm or later.
